Childhood — The Writer Emerges
Long before I imagined becoming a published author, I filled pages with poems and stories and eagerly shared them with friends. Life may have placed that part of me on pause, but the writer was always there.

About Dianna
Questions about fear, faith, identity, and the quiet truth beneath everything I had been told I should believe and become.
The heart behind the stories
Who are we beneath the roles we play? What happens when the truth comes to light? How do memory, identity, loss, faith, and the stories we carry shape the lives we create?
Sometimes those questions lead inward, toward reflection, healing, and self-discovery. Other times, they lead into secrets, betrayal, mystery, and complicated choices that call everything a character believes into question.
I write for readers who are drawn to what exists beneath the surface, whether that journey unfolds through personal growth, spiritual exploration, psychological suspense, emotional fiction, mystery, or speculative fiction.
The books may take different paths, but each one explores the hidden truths that shape us. That is the heart of Beyond the Story: looking past what is visible, questioning what we think we know, and discovering what remains when the deeper truth is finally revealed.
“I write from beside you, not above you. I am asking the questions too.”
Dianna WrightWhy I created Beyond the Story
For years, I lived from the stories I had inherited—about who I was supposed to be, what success looked like, how faith should be expressed, and what my life was meant to become.
As I began letting go of those expectations, I discovered that beneath every role, every title, every success, every failure, and every painful chapter was a deeper truth that had never left me. Then I realized I was not alone.
Writing became a way to sit with the questions instead of rushing to silence them. Beyond the Story grew into a place for others who also sense there is more beneath what they have been taught, told, or expected to become.
What I believe
The journey
Long before I imagined becoming a published author, I filled pages with poems and stories and eagerly shared them with friends. Life may have placed that part of me on pause, but the writer was always there.
Raising three sons became one of life’s greatest teachers. Learning to let go as they became men taught me about identity, love, purpose, and becoming who we were meant to be.
After years in marketing and media, I founded Wright Strategy Services to help entrepreneurs and small businesses discover and communicate the stories that make them unique.
What began as a search for answers became a journey of self-discovery—exploring faith, consciousness, ancient wisdom, and what remains true beyond fear and the literal.
After years of setting unfinished projects aside while raising a family and building a career, I returned to the stories waiting inside me. The Self Beneath the Story became my debut book and the beginning of an entirely new chapter.
Today, I write across personal growth, spirituality, psychological suspense, emotional fiction, mystery, and speculative fiction. Different genres, but one thread remains: every story goes beneath the surface.
Every book, every reflection, and every new question is an invitation to keep exploring.
